Understanding the Student Well-being Survey

The Student Well-being Survey captures the diverse experiences of students in Boise's middle and high schools. It addresses themes like emotional resilience, peer relationships, and school engagement. The insights from the survey not only measure student well-being but also offer valuable information for educators, parents, and community leaders seeking to support our youth effectively. For example, when we identified that Boise teens were experiencing high social isolation, we developed several strategies to increase connection for Boise youth. We are starting to see some progress too. In 2022, 38% of students reported moderate to severe levels of depression, two years later that number has reduced to 17% of Boise youth! Let's Keep up the good work!
