Staff from the Communities for Youth Empowerment Hub joined Radio Boise’s Elementary Watson for two episodes in their recent spotlight on youth mental health. The first episode on May 07th featured Communities for Youth Director Megan Smith, and Deputy Director Matt Isbell who spoke with host Dr. JoEllen Watson at length about Communities for Youth’s upstream prevention approach and community-driven process. The second episode on May 14th featured Communications Director Anne Abbott and Community Engagement Coordinator Andrea Hill who highlighted the specific work of the Communities for Youth Boise Initiative and, its current focus on building teen social connection.
Our staff always enjoy an opportunity to spread the word about the importance of upstream prevention for youth mental health and to spotlight all the great work happening in one of our partner initiatives.
