The Communities for Youth Boise Initiative is starting an official Citywide Coalition for youth mental health and well-being. The Citywide Coalition seeks to drive lasting, systemic solutions that increase protective factors and decrease risk factors for youth well-being. The coalition will also build off the existing partner and community efforts to decrease mental health challenges among Boise youth and increase youth well-being.
Staff and volunteers from local organizations, government agencies, faith-based entities, and schools as well as parents, community members, and youth are all invited to join the coalition.
Official Coalition Members Agree to:
Advance the shared goals, values, and principles as outlined in this agreement.
Actively contribute to strategic planning and action by attending coalition meetings and relevant action team meetings.
Communicate and cross-promote key messages and opportunities in our community that support the C4Y Boise Initiative.
Communicate openly and often with the Boise Community Leads any information relevant to the progress of the goals and actions of the C4Y Boise Initiative.
Contribute resources (such as money, space, or time) to support the annual Citywide Strategic Action Plan and youth in Boise.
Use the data collected, as well as the collaborative action plan, to inform relevant actions taken. (For example; if the goal is increasing social connection, find ways to increase connection in the regular work you do with young people).
Partners who have already signed on to be part of the Citywide Coalition include St. Luke’s Community Health, Central District Health, Boise School District, One Stone School, Boise Parks & Rec, and the Collister Neighborhood Association and others.
If you/ your organization are not yet able to formally sign on as a coalition member or if you are just interested in staying updated all Citywide Coalition meetings will be open to the public . Please RSVP below to help us plan for space and facilities.
