Communities for Youth is seeking up to ten (10) high school aged summer interns to help us implement upstream prevention initiatives focused on  preventing youth mental health challenges and promoting youth well-being.  Interns will be paired with Communities for Youth staff and will work with a variety of community partners to complete their work.

Teen Action Team Interns work as part of a team to implement community projects related to youth mental health.

Intern tasks for Summer 2025 will largely focus on projects in the City of Boise including:

  • Assisting with the creation of digital media (website, ads, how-to videos, social media presence) that helps facilitate youth social connection.

  • Market/pre-testing testing youth-focused resources and materials.

  • Helping plan youth-focused events and visiting youth spaces across the city to provide feedback on acceptability and accessibility for young people.

  • Creating resources to engage the local business community in better recognizing the unique strengths and assets of youth as well as meeting young people’s needs.

  • Identifying additional areas of need for future youth engagement in Boise and greater Treasure Valley.

  • Providing feedback on various aspects of the overall Communities for Youth approach.

Due to the nature of these projects, interest and/or experience with areas like web design, graphic design, video/media production, social media, youth engagement, and event planning, are a plus, but not required.
