Communities for Youth is an upstream prevention initiative that works with Idaho communities to identify and address risk and protective factors for youth mental health and well-being. Our goal is to build the best possible communities for youth so that all may thrive.

Communities For Youth
Internship Opportunities
We offer two different internship programs:

Teen Action Team Summer Internship (High school students): Help us prevent youth mental health challenges and promote youth well-being in the Treasure Valley this summer. Eligible students must be in grades 9-12. Applications are due May 10, 2025.

Community Engagement Internship (College students): Applications are accepted through August 15th for the Fall semester and through December 15th for the Spring semester. Internship credit is offered at the 400 and 500 level depending on your status as a student.
2025 Teen Action Team Summer Internship
We are currently seeking up to ten high school aged summer interns to help us implement upstream prevention initiatives focused on preventing youth mental health challenges and promoting youth well-being in Idaho.
Each summer intern that completes the required hours will receive a stipend of $1,000. Application forms are due by May 10, 2025 to be considered for the Summer 2025 program.
Community Engagement Internships
We are currently accepting applications for Community Engagement Interns. To qualify, you must be an upper-level or graduate-level student at any Idaho university.
Internship credit is offered at the 400 and 500 level depending on your status as a student. Apply by August 15, 2025 to be considered for the Fall 2025 semester.
